Kybella & PCDC Injections
KYBELLA® FDA-approved injectable for refining submental fullness, commonly known as “double chin,” by disrupting fat cells under the skin. PCDC/Plaquex is a FDA Approved compounded injectable that is a blend of phosphatidylcholine and sodium deoxycholate, a natural compound aiding fat breakdown.
PCDC gently liquefies fat, gradually eliminating it through the body’s natural processes, resulting in even fat reduction and potentially tighter skin due to collagen stimulation. It’s versatile, suitable for various fat deposit areas. It is used in broad areas like
- Double chin
- Back fat
- Arm fat
- Abdominal fat
Treatment involves multiple sessions, typically yielding visible outcomes in 2 to 4 sessions, with up to 6 sessions spaced at least a month apart. Precautions include avoiding treatment if pregnant, nursing, or having a history of certain medical conditions like bleeding disorders. Inform your clinician of any relevant medical history or medication use, as some conditions may contraindicate treatment.
PCDC treatment isn’t recommended for individuals with specific medical conditions such as HIV, active cancer, or liver disease, uncontrolled Diabetes etc.
The results are permanent as the fat cells are destroyed by these injections.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Once the appointment is scheduled, clients will receive patient intake and medical record forms, along with consents, via email through Arsthetic Record. These forms must be completed prior to arrival. Each patient undergoes an evaluation to tailor the treatment to their specific needs. Before starting the treatment, the area is sterilized, and numbing/topical anesthetic is applied. Multiple injection sites are then marked.
Each session involves several injections, and multiple treatments are typically required for optimal results. Most patients undergo 2 to 4 sessions, with up to 6 sessions possible. Treatment sessions are scheduled approximately one month apart.
